An invitation to an unofficial meeting being organised to discuss 70 houses being built at the end of Saltbox Close is based on out of date news and false information, the statement on the Mylor Parish Council website says.

A leaked document was the basis of this original concern, but this has since been corrected by officials from Cornwall Council.

At a public meeting of the NDP steering group on 22^nd October, Cornwall Council went on record stating there are no such plans and that anything they do would only be with public consent and after proper public consultation. Read the minutes

The Parish Council and NDP Steering group are now concentrating their combined efforts to complete the Neighbourhood Development Plan which, when finally submitted will go to a full public referendum.  The draft Plan identified a need for 18 affordable houses in Mylor Bridge and 12 in Flushing.  While a direction of growth for Mylor Bridge was identified, no site has yet been finally selected or consulted upon.
