Poll shows 89% approval for the Plan following Regulation 14 Statutory Consultation
The Regulation 14 Statutory Consultation on the Full Draft Plan closed at midnight on Friday 11 September, having opened on 13 July 2020. 828 Parishioners took the time to read the Plan, either online or with a paper copy. Of those, 216 chose to take part in the poll to say whether they support the Plan or not. A resounding 89% said ‘yes’.
Comments on the Plan were invited as part of the consultation process, and 149 people sent in their views, either via email, on paper, or using QR code links from the postcard mailed to all Parish addresses, on posters, in The Magazine, and on social media. All comments – some of them impressively detailed and substantial – now go to the Parish Council to be reviewed. Adjustments may be made to the Plan in the light of the community’s comments, in some cases potentially entailing further consultation.
Once finalised, the Plan will be submitted to Cornwall Council and an external examiner, before coming back to the community for a final referendum.
Thank you to everyone who has taken part in surveys, meetings, consultations and events, and has helped with background research, since 2017. You have had your say, and this is your plan.
